Nice 兔(tu) Meet U
The Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Sales and Promotion department collaborated with renowned Taiwanese designer Robin Tang, popular among young audiences, to create a new character, "The NICE 兔(tu)," inspired by his Three-Eyed series. Discussions with Robin Tang began in June 2022, and after seven months, the characters Bonnie and Rabbit, along with large installation artworks, were designed. These pieces incorporated elements of the Chinese New Year "Year of the Rabbit," with Bonnie and Rabbit greeting people in various languages. Tabletop figure dolls of Bonnie and Rabbit were also placed in various stores to complement the Lunar New Year atmosphere, wishing everyone a happy new year, prosperity, and fortune. Additionally, customers could redeem points for “The NICE 兔(tu)" red envelopes, fai chun (chunlian), and lucky bags. This event attracted a total of 12.3 million participants and resulted in 6,649 gift redemptions.

PLANT A SEED: A Fresh Start
Shin Kong Mitsukoshi invited Taiwanese contemporary artist Abei for the exhibition. In October 2022, discussions with Abei began to transform his well-known characters HUA HUA and Maskboy from 2D to 3D installations. These glossy installations reflected their surroundings, symbolizing that all good things emit light, gathering dreams toward new, positive hopes.This event was part of the Q2 SKM Points "HUA Style Life Points Redemption" campaign, where points could be redeemed for accessory gifts.

LUMINOUS FOREST
During the flourishing summer, the world is filled with splendid beauty! Shin Kong Mitsukoshi invited contemporary Taiwanese artist Chen Pu to co-plan the exhibition. Since February 2023, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi had been in discussions with Chen Pu to create a rich and interesting ecological paradise inspired by the natural ecology of summer. In this season of chirping insects and birds, the entire city becomes a natural ecosystem, with many little spirits accompanying us. Approaching the large installation 'Chill-shaped Bug (homophone with stag beetle in Mandarin Chinese),' one could hear the sounds of nature and experience the changes in night lighting. The forest spirits, twinkling at night, present two different atmospheres for day and night.

After a three-year hiatus, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi's Lantern Festival is returning to Taipei with all seven stores in Taipei joining the Taiwan Lantern Festival. With the two highlights of "Digital interaction" and "Light and music," the lantern festival is set to be captivating again! Combining diverse interactive light shows and digital technology, the exhibition aims to create social media sensation and reach the younger generation. The addition of viewing via a cell phone and offline inbound marketing activities will attract more visitors and increase foot traffic. The event also includes point-based activities, such as festive mini lantern giveaways for new customers, and a lantern festival charity auction in collaboration with HOTAC and Taiwan World Vision. The effective use of social media to promote and encourage the public to share the messages of love and warmth helps us expand the point reward ecosystem!
